Тезисы

Greenplum Database is an Open Source fork of the well known PostgreSQL database. It is designed to execute massive workloads using MPP technology, and scale out to dozens or hundreds of servers.

Such a technology is not easy to build, and many challenges need to be mastered along the way. Not only in the database product itself, but also on the operating, filesystem and network level.

This talk shows how Greenplum Database works, it also explains challenges on the way to scale out to many TBs, roadblocks found along the way, and lists some of the common mistakes and problems.
